Southern Rural Health Care - A Brief History
|
Southern Rural Health
Care Consortium began the initial procedures
for incorporation in July of 1976. Margaret
Scott Lovett was hired on a "temporary
basis" in September of that year to oversee
the project and help to establish the company
as a nonprofit organization. The principals
involved received an $80,000 grant to help establish
this much needed health care program for our
area.

Executive Staff
|
Almost 30 years later, Mrs. Lovett
is still operating as Executive Director and the
consortium now faithfully offers a wide range of
healthcare services in 23 counties across Alabama,
employing over 200 highly qualified people state
wide. Between 2001 and 2005, while other healthcare providers
were closing their doors, Southern Rural actually
expanded, adding three more clinics to our ever growing
list.
In 2005, Southern Rural Health Care Consortium continues
to grow. We hope you will allow us to show you the
level of commitment and service we have to offer
and that we really are "People
helping People." |

|
| Why is Southern Rural Health Care so Popular? |
We believe the reason for our success
is two fold.
First of all, we are on the cutting edge of
the industry, counting on our top notch administrative
staff to monitor trends and stay ahead of the
ever changing and volatile healthcare industry.
Many other companies use outside consulting
staffs and then are taken by surprise when new
regulations are adopted. By counting on our
qualified personnel, we are able to stay ahead
of the competition and are ready for whatever
may occur.
|
|
|
The other
reason for our success is simple, or so it may seem.
It is our people that make the difference.
Real people that really care. The
same people that you may see at the grocery store
or the mall. The same ones you see next to you in
church. They may even be your next door neighbor.
People that don't mind going the extra distance
when needed, always striving for excellence. And
they offer this care in a compassionate and responsible
manner.
All of our physicians are board certified,
meaning you are getting the highest quality care
available.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact
us at any of our offices. |
